Arabel Rowland was the laird's daughter. Garrick McGuiness was the penniless stable hand. Though forbidden to be together, they were set to elope when tragedy struck Arabel's family. Ten years later, her uncle has passed away and has left Arabel the Highland Castle she has always treasured. Her uncle and aunt felt that they were part of the reason Arabel did marry Garrick. The will leaves half of the castle to Arabel and half to Garrick.
They have one month to live in the castle together to fulfill the wills requirement. Is that enough time for Garrick and Arabella to rekindle their passion?
What a wonderful novella. There was a rocky start between Arabel and Garrick after ten years apart. Garrick has taken himself from stable hand to being awarded an Earldom. Arabel is still a dutiful daughter and loyal to her family. They had to slowly rebuild their relationship as the truth about that night they were set to elope comes out. I loved the characters and the passion that still sparked between them. This was a great read.
