Necessary Pursuit by Mari Carr and Lila DuBois

Well, that was an amazing book.  I loved the fast paced action with the twists and turns of a Trinity Masters novel.  Oscar finally got his book and his perfect partners.  I liked that Selene made the grumpy Oscar less grumpy.  Throw in someone we thought was a villain, but isn't - he is just trying to protect his sister.  Oh my!  Along with the suspense is the e-reader melting smexy times.  They were three characters that were opposites, yet meshed so well.  Then, at the end, is the tease of where we are going next.  I can't wait!

This is one book you want to clear your afternoon for, sit back and enjoy the ride.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by the authors.  Thank you very much!

The Arrangement by Sylvia Day; Minerva Spencer; Kristin Vayden

This is an anthology with three amazing, wonderful books.  Once I started reading "Mischief and the Marquess" by Sylvia day, I did not stop reading.  I loved the characters in each of the book.  the only thing I wish is that the books were longer.

The Duke and the Enchantress by Paullett Golden

Drake Mowbrah, the Duke of Annick, was told by his mother that he needed a wife and heir.  He woos Charlotte Trenthow.  After the wedding in the carriage on the way to his home, he finds himself in a marriage with a woman he really doesn't know.  Drake thought Charlotte was attracted to him, but what he found in the carriage was a cold woman.

When they arrive at his home, Charlotte meets her new mother-in-law who refused to hand over control of the household and a housekeeper that thinks she is protecting the Dowager Duchess.

Eventually, Drake and Charlotte realize most of their problems are due to miscommunication.

It took me a while to write this review because the only character I remotely liked was Drake.  Charlotte was immature and self-centered.  Drake's mother was the mother-in-law from hell.  Drake and his love for music was the only thing that even remotely salvaged the book.  I kept wanting to reach in and slap both Drake and Charlotte for not communicating.
