Hunter by Eden Summers

Wow!  I was sucked in with the first chapter.  This book had an amazing punch.  It is nothing like Eden Summers has written before.  It was full of twists and turns with a whole lot of deceit.  The characters had a raw chemistry from the moment they met.  It kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

The Villain by Victoria Vale

My favorite hero is a villain! I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a review.  I was hooked from the end of chapter one.  What do you do if someone has been systematically destroying your family?  Daphne Fairchild took a chance and rode to Scotland to confront Adam, Lord Hartmoor.  Adam will only tell Daphne why he has destroyed her family if she spends thirty days and nights at his castle.  In the end, she will get a bank draft for thirty thousand pounds but will also be ruined.

I loved the characters but didn't think that Adam was a Villian.  He is extracting revenge for what Daphne's brother Bertram has done to his sister.  Adam is defending his sister.

I can't wait for the next book!

Italian Billionaire's Stubborn Lover by Leslie North

Adeline Peluso is a luxury real estate agent that came to Italy to recapture her family's heritage after she inherited an apartment in Sicily.  She has watched the resort she loved deteriorate when it is neglected by the owners.  As the real estate agent for the property, she is about to throw in the towel when one of the owners of the hotel comes to her office.  He is absolutely gorgeous - tall, dark and handsome.

Billionaire Nicolo Romano is an adventuresome globe trotting citizen.  He refuses to set down roots.  Nicolo and his brothers have inherited the family resort and they want to sell it fast.  Nicolo comes back to the hotel he loved as a child and meets a woman who feels as passionately about restoring it as he does selling.

Nicolo and Adeline have a steamy romance but can they make their relationship work and have an HEA?

I loved this story - from the plot to the characters, it was a well-written novel,  I liked the setting and could picture the Romano del Mare.  Nicolo changed from the beginning to the end of the book.  Adeline was a great heroine.  Again, another great book from Leslie North!

Giving Chase by Lauren Dane

Maggie Wright is a quiet schoolteacher hiding behind her tight bun and boring clothes.  A friend gives her a makeover before a blind date.  Maggie draws the notice of the Chase brothers.  She briefly dates Shane Chase but he is too deeply scarred by his ex-fiancee's betrayal.

Kyle Chase has been waiting for his brother to make a mistake and does not hesitate to jump in and take Maggie away.  As they are exploring their new relationship, a stalker from her past threatens them.  Kyle must trust his brother and rely on his family's support to help save the woman he loves.

Where have I been?  Lauren Dane is one of my favorite authors and this is the first time I am reading this book!  It was amazing.  I loved Maggie, Kyle, and Kyle's family.  However, the one thing that soured the book was how nasty Maggie's family was to her.  It was over the top and took something away from the happy feeling I got while reading the book.

Heat by Donna Grant

I loved the chemistry between Esther and Nikolai.  This book is a great read.  The prologue helped establish Nikolai's character.  I enjoyed reading this book!

Baby, I'm Howling for You by Christine Warren

Renny Landry has attracted the attention of a crazy shapeshifting coyote.  When Renny refused his advances, he turned into a stalker forcing Renny to flee her job as a librarian.  Renny ended in the wooded hills of Alpha, Washington.  Alpha is a town for shifters and is Renny's last hope.

I loved this book!  It was one of the best shifter novels that I have read in a while.  I love the town and the characters.  I can't wait for the next book!

A Devil in Scotland by Suzanne Enoch

I didn't want Callum and Rebecca's story to end.  I was pulled in from the start.  The characters were so well written.  I loved Callum and his how he changed.  He was amazing.  Rebecca was a strong heroine and a wonderful match for Callum.

My Scot, My Surrender by Amalie Howard amd Angie Morgan

This one got put on the DNF stack.  It was just too over the top.  The premise was intriguing, but it was just too in your face with the heroine's brutal scars and the hero's scared horse.  Not my cup of tea.

Thanks Fur Last Night by Eve Langlais; Milly Taiden; Kate Baxter

This is an anthology with two of my favorite authors.

Bearing His Sin by Eve Langlais
I normally love Eve Langlais's comedic writing style.  However, this book was terrible.  The storyline jumped all over the place to the point I was confused.  The only saving grace was the grandma.

Bought by the Bear by Milly Taiden
I enjoyed this book and wish it was longer.  I liked the plot and thought the characters were great.

The Alpha and I by Kate Baxter
I enjoyed the plot and characters.  I thought it was well written.

So, overall two of the three books were great.

The Sheikh's Stubborn Assistant by Leslie North

I enjoyed Khalid's story.  I liked how Liyah, Mila, and Amira are involved in the story.  Katie was a great foil for Khalid's personality and helps him achieve his happiness.  This well-written novel and an excellent end to the series.  Leslie North does not disappoint!

The Madam Catches Her Duke by Christina McKnight

Madame Marce Davenport has spent her life giving of herself to others.  When her father died, her half-brother threw her family from their house.  Her mother survived by opening a brothel.  After her death, the Duke of Harwich demands that she either vacate her family's home or agree to his scheme.

Rowan Delconti, the Duke of Harwich is seeking revenge against his father and the woman who broke apart his family.  He goes to Craven House intent on confronting the Madam but finds her daughter, Marce.  Rowan abruptly decides on a change of plans.  Marce is to pretend she is his Duchess and she will keep Craven House.  All she needs to do is to be available when he visits his beloved mother at the family estate.

After eight years, Marce wants her freedom.  However, to gain it, secrets will have to come to light.  Will their relationship evolve from fake to a real romance?

This is the third book in the Craven House Series.  I thought it read well as a stand-alone.  However, I will have to read the first two.

The characters were so well written that I felt like I was part of the book.  I loved the characters.  Marce was a wonderful heroine.  I liked seeing how Rowan's character developed.  I loved his devotion to his mother.  Rowan's friend Tobias deserves his own book!  There was a twist at the end that I did not see coming.
