One for the Rogue by Manda Collins

I liked the characters in this book.  Gemma and Cam started off disliking each other and were in competition for fossils. But, in the end, the book did not pop for me. It was an OK read.

I received a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher.  Thank you.

The Sheikh's Pregnant Fake Wife by Leslie North

After reading the first two books in this series, I was waiting for this one.  How was Feraz going to get a HEA when he was estranged from his wife Roxanne.  OMG! Loved this book and the twist.  I felt so bad for Feraz in his brother's books.  This was a great book.  Once I started reading, I didn't put it down.  It was a great end to the series!

The Sheikh's Island Fling by Leslie North

There is nothing like a Leslie North Sheikh novel.  I loved the characters in this book.  Rehaj was a tortured hero after he lost his school sweetheart as a teenager.  Ani's fiancee dumped her for another woman.  They click and their island retreat becomes a passionate escape.  I liked how Rehaj and Ani complete and compliment each other.  This was a passionate romance!

Her Desert Prince by Marie Tuhart

Catherine Taylor left her dysfunctional family at age 18 to study art. After years of hard work, she is invited to work in the middle eastern country of Bashir to create a mural for a children's critical care ward.  Catherine is thrilled to blend her love of art with her love of children.

Malik al-Hakim is the crown prince of Bashir.  When he meets Catherine, he finds a woman who sees him as a man, not as his future as a king. Malik pursues Catherine but when she is placed in danger, he realizes that he loves her.  Malik will do anything to keep her safe so he does not lose the woman he loves.

I liked this book and the characters.  Malik was a great hero and Catherine was his perfect companion.  I liked how his family treated Catherine as part of the family, not as an outsider.  The ending was great.

Arden by Melody Anne

Arden Forbes is a dedicated High School history teacher and football coach.  Few people know that he is a billionaire thanks to his families wealth.

Keera Thompson is running from her troubled past.  Finding a job as a High School principal in this small, sleepy town is just the thing she needs for a new start.  When her past finds her, Arden steps in and protects her every time there is a problem.

Keera does not want to share her past with Arden because it will bring back the memories. As the situation escalates, Keera must tell Arden about her past.  Will it bring them closer together or drive him away.

The first chapter or two moved slowly as the plot was established, but once I got past the second chapter, the story picked up.  I liked the twists and turns in this novel.  Arden was a great hero and poor Keera was such a strong character that had been through a lot. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

I received a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.  Thanks!

The Sheikh's Tempting Assistant by Leslie North

Laura Bliss is an assistant location scout stuck scouting in the desert because her boss is a jerk.  She gets lost and stumbles upon the campsite of Raheem and his family.  Raheem and his brothers are trying to save their country from the disaster their father left.  He hires Laura to help him with a PR campaign to promote tourism in his country.

Another wonderful Sheikh book from Leslie North.  I loved Laura and Raheem.  This was a great short and steamy read!

Six Weeks with a Lord by Eve Pendle

Grace Alnott's father was a successful dry grocer.  His one dream was for her to marry into the aristocracy.  When she did not find a husband in her first season, Grace's father sent her to finishing school.  While she is away, her father dies and leaves her four-year-old brother in the hands of an abusive guardian.  To get her dowry, she must marry a member of the aristocracy and her father wants her to marry her brother's guardian.

Major Everett Hetherington is the new Earl of Westbury.  As the second son, he never expected to inherit.  What he inherited was an estate on the verge of ruin, his older brother's gambling debt and a major issue on his estate.  Grace Alnott is the solution to his problems.  They get married, he gets her dowry and she marries an aristocrat and gets the guardianship of her brother.  Only, Grace will only give him half her dowry because she wants a marriage of convenience.  Everett stipulates that she must live with him for six weeks.  In the six weeks, Everett must convince Grace to stay with him.

This was an amazing debut novel.  I loved the characters.  Grace was a very determined heroine and Everett was just attempting to navigate his way through the mess he inherited.  He was a very strong hero.  I liked that the plot moved at a steady pace with the chemistry between Grace and Everett growing.
