The Duke of Seduction by Darcy Burke

Lady Lavinia Gillingham prefers science to matrimony.  Until she stumbles upon William Beckett, Marquess of Northam, in a library at a ball   Beck is meeting a lover when he mistakes her for Lavinia and kisses her neck.  He is determined to make up for his gaffe by helping Lavinia on the marriage mart.
As the Duke of Seduction, he pens anonymous poems and his latest poem is dedicated to Lavinia.  Beck only wants to help women who, like his sister, aren't successful in Society.   Once Lavinia starts gaining suiters, Beck realizes that he is attracted to Lavinia.  Will Beck be able to overcome the shadow of his past before Lavinia is lost to him?

I really enjoyed this book.  Lavinia was a great heroine.  I liked how she was fine with not being successful on the Marriage Mart and happy with her small group of friends.  Beck was a tortured hero.  He felt guilty over his sister's death and was determined to discover what really happened.  The story was witty and fast-paced from the beginning to the end.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.  Thank you!
